Recently a professor has given me an immense amount of help on a project just because she is nice. I would like to give her a gift to express my appreciation. Could you help me choose an appropriate gift? (Don%26#039;t worry; I%26#039;m not trying to buy a grade. In fact, I%26#039;m not even enrolled in a class of hers right now.)
She%26#039;s a relatively young woman. As I recall, she doesn%26#039;t like chocolate all that much, and she feels that she%26#039;s not good at taking care of plants. Any suggestions?
What%26#039;s a nice thank-you gift for my professor?
how about a gift card to barnes and noble??????????????
Reply:Does she like to read??? Do you know what her interests might be as far as books go???
If so, how about a book!!!
Reply:A gift card to starbucks or a gift certificate to get a pedicure.
Reply:How about a book by her favorite author .
Reply:Why not a spin on the old, %26quot;Bring an apple for the teacher%26quot;. Try a basket of apples with some caramels to make carameled apples. Or a nice bottle of hard apple cider. Or bake her an apple pie. It%26#039;s fall, so any of these would be greeted warmly. Good luck, and nice gesture on your part.
Reply:I really like taking informal photographs I often take them in class... with out calling attention to what I am doing... and when I can I take one of the professor talking to students or lecturing ... walking on campus ...I always give these photos as small gifts 8x10 in inexpensive frames ...they love it and it is not expensive and you can make a copy for yourself...It is fun and always a well liked gift.
Reply:How about an artificial arrangement?
Reply:Does she drink coffee? Maybe you can get her a Starbucks card. I drink coffee and all my clients know it and I LOVE when they get me Starbucks cards as thank yous. It%26#039;s like gold!
Reply:maybe a scrapbook, or a nice picture frame...or if all that fails, give her an apple :D
Reply:If you%26#039;d like something truly expressive and unique look up the lyrics to the song TO SIR. WITH LOVE, change the word %26quot;Sir%26quot; to Ma%26#039;am or the professor%26#039;s name, print it on nice paper and give it to her. I bet she%26#039;ll love it.
Reply:flowers and a perfume?
Reply:A gift basket of lotions and soaps
A gift basket of fruit
A gift basket of cheese
A gift basket of cookies

Reply:I may seem old fashioned, but it was considered an honor for an educator to receive appreciation by his /her students when they would lay their pen with the cap pointing towards the instructors chair. All the students would place their pens in a line- side by side. I would suggest an inexpensive pen set unwrapped with the cap pointed towards the chair with a greeting card expressing your appreciation underneath.
Reply:I%26#039;d check out Things Remembered. They have so many things you can customize. When I did my student teaching experience, I got my mentor teacher a small silver beerstein/mug that had a Shakepseare quote about giving thanks on it (he was an English teacher). Then I filled it with black and red pens, since I kept accidentally stealing his. Teachers can ALWAYS use more red pens. Also, my college advisor was very helpful, and I knew she really loved her new dog she had recently gotten. I found a recipe for healthy dog bones and made them at home. Then I gave them to her in a tin with a dog on the front. Does your prof have any special interests that are evident in the photos or posters in her office? Maybe they could help give you an idea about the perfect gift.
The great thing is that no matter what you give her, she will be thrilled that you are recognizing her efforts. Teachers/professors don%26#039;t expect thanks, but they really like it when they get.
Reply:You could get her abook token, or a pair of tickets for the theatre.
Reply:buy her a book on a subject she likes most...........stories, religion, general knowledge, novels, literature, history, spiritualism, travelogues .....anything. Remember, books are a persons best friend and a treasure house of knowledge!!!
Reply:I bought a quote book that stands on a plague.
Reply:a card. maybe a strap on dildo
