Boyfriend didn't get me an easter egg this year.?

Last year when we were still a fairly new couple, he gave me an egg, and I gave him one, and he seemed as though he really wanted to spend his time off work with me. This year, he seemed less enthusiastic to spend the time with me, and I recieved no egg. He also got me nothing for our anniversary until i after he had realised I had got him something. For valentines i bought him a gift and then didnt give it to him as he didnt have anything for me. I just want something small and meaningful. I wouldnt care if he gave me a $1 plant. Just something to show that he knows me, and loves me. Then after easter when I was on my way home, he called me up and I went over, he cooked a reallly nice meal for me and we had a really nice spa with some imported beers. Then he gave me a massage. Mixed signals??? Or is this just a male thing?

Suggestion. Don%26#039;t give gifts expecting something in return. Give them from the heart and because you want to see the person happy. If you find that you are being taken advantage of, then it is time to re-evaluate your relationship.

Reply:Its a male thing and perhaps he felt giving anything was not that important cause Easter is for the kids really. If he talked with you for Easter then he was mindful of you.

Reply:Boy women are never satisfied. The man cooked for you, gave you spa time and a massage and you are bitching about a damn egg. I am not going to say it%26#039;s men, but lots of people don%26#039;t remember or don%26#039;t attach the significance to anniversaries, commercial holidays, etc. I would look at his actions and clearly he took the time to plan a nice night for you. People always do things in the beginning that they don%26#039;t continue once they have the person. Cut the guy some slack....

It seems as though the materialistic things mean more to you than he does. Or it says a lot more to you than the lil things that he does for you.
