Quandry over a water fountain?

I like to create in my gardens.





My front yard has different types of roses, and evergreens adorning the front of the house. Last year I designed and built a nice little water fountain right under my livingroom windlow.





It is simple but it looks nice and sounds pretty when I sit with my windows open. I have landscaping lights on it and the water runs 24/7. I have flowers and plants surrounding the water.





Now my son in law bought me one and is very proud that he did.





I really like it and wanted one for so long. He had heard me talking of one and had some of it hand made.





I don't really want to pull down my creation yet but I know that if I don't attempt to put his up some time this summer he will feel slighted. It was expensive and he and my daughter saved for this in hopes to give me a great gift for mother's day.





any opinions?

You sound like you are very creative! I wish I had a green thumb and the expertise to make a water fountain. Is there no way you could use both of them? That way you could enjoy both his and yours, and create no hard feelings?
Reply:It was a great gift; now you have the choice of how to use it!





If you have the space, please consider using both fountains. If not, consider passing the new fountain on to someone who means a great deal to you, your daughter and your son-in-law, or perhaps to the grounds of a local charity or park, if that is possible.





You clearly have two people who love you greatly; we should all have your problem!
Reply:Do you have a back yard or a side yard? I love fountains. Try to find another space for it so he will feel that you have given this one the attention that you gave the other one.





You don't have to have both of them turned on all the time. You can turn his on occasionally, and make sure you have enough chemicals to keep it from getting algae.
