Mini rose bush help?

I gave a mini rose bush to a coworker as a birthday gift. She decided to keep it here at the office so she could enjoy it all day long. There are no windows in the office, so she keeps it under a fluorescent light.

It%26#039;s not doing so well. All of the blooms have died off. A majority of the leaves turned yellow, then fell off -- the rest of the leaves just fell off while still green. Right now, it%26#039;s a pot of sticks and thorns...in very wet, mushy soil.

Any suggestions on how to get it back to a healthy, blooming plant?

Mini rose bush help?
Yes, plant it outside. Roses do not make good indoor plants.

It%26#039;s wet and mushy because it%26#039;s getting too much water and the pot isn%26#039;t draining properly. If it was in a pot outside, it would drain out and it wouldn%26#039;t be wet.

Get a bigger pot and some rose potting mix, re-pot it and put it outside. Start with 1/2 day sun for a few days since it has been inside and then it%26#039;s final spot should be very sunny.

Good luck.
Reply:roses need lots of sunlight - florescent light will not work. Get the plant OUTSIDE.
