Was SELENA the Best Singer of All Time? [Question Limited Only to Those Familiar with Selena's Music]?

Most popular singers had limited ability, excelling mostly within one main type of music.





For example, Caruso was considered by many to be the greatest opera singer of all time.





But how good would Caruso have sounded doing a Rock song, or belting out an Aretha Franklin type song? Or, for that matter, how well would Elvis or Plant or Franklin have done doing opera?





Sinatra had limited range, and not enough vocal power to do opera, dependent as he was upon an amplified microphone. And people made fun of him about that when he first began performing.





Crosby had a better voice than Sinatra, but I couldn%26#039;t imagine him doing a Rock or R%26amp;B classic.





Beyonce and Mariah are two-dimensional. Could you imagine Mariah singing a hard rock number? :)





Country music singer Martina McBride has an excellent voice, well-suited for Country or Pop, but not much else.





Sarah Vaughn was great. And I would call her the SECOND best singer I%26#039;ve ever heard. But she wasn%26#039;t a Rock / R%26amp;B singer like Tina Turner.





Phylis Hyman was almost as good as Sarah. But was best at R %26amp; B ballads.





But there was just one singer who was so gifted that she could do songs in an opera aria style, or a Dance or Pop number, or a Rock song, and R%26amp;B with as much feeling as anyone, plus many other types of songs:
