What kind of small seeds grow in small test tube?

Hi, there is a small gift i wish to make for my friend. Giving out small test tube size container with a seed inside and hopfully it will grow within a week or something.





My question is, what kinda seed/plant grow best in such situtation? And if possible, the seed sld grow into a beautiful plant eventually.





Any idea folk?

I understand what you want to do but in most cases your going to have a hard time getting a healthy plant in a container with no drainage. If your not set on growing from seed/soil you might consider a live bamboo shoot (ie lucky bamboo) it stays alaive a long time on just water. If yourreally desiring a seed growing as a gift I would go with a larger seed since it should yield a larger more visible shoot perhapsa sunflower seed. good luck!

Reply:Sunflower seeds. But include a wet piece of paper towel wrapped around the seed.

Reply:You would need a small plant. May I suggest a Marigold. They sprout easy have pretty flowers.
