History Question?¿?¿?

March 27th is the anniversary of a gift given by Japan to the United States; the gift was 2 Yoshino variety cherry trees; Washington, D.C.'s Tidal Basin has become famous for these trees and their blossoming each year. What year were the first 2 trees given and who was the first lady who planted them?

Please help me!

P.S. Dont say "Do your own homework!" It's annoying and pointless

(I know someone's gunna do that anyway just to make me mad!)

Reply:Follow the link - your answer is about half way down the page.

This was so easy - why don't you do you own homework?
Reply:Hi,

When I did a Yahoo search for this, I came up with the following website. http://www.statesocieties.org/gallery/in...

As you can see from the website, %26lt;%26lt;On April 6, 1965 First Lady Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson plants a cherry tree on the Tidal Basin just a few feet from original trees planted by Mrs. William Howard Taft in 1912. (Photo Courtesy of LBJ Library Collection%26gt;%26gt;

Hope this helps.
Reply:It would indeed be annoying and pointless if someone just told you to do your own homework without helping you by explaining how. To find out the information you need, type the key words into the Google search bar:

Tidal Basin cherry trees Japan

By doing that, I found a website with the following information:

%26lt;%26lt;The history of the cherry trees dates to 1912 when the original trees were planted by First Lady Mrs. William Howard Taft and the Vicountess Chinda of Japan.%26gt;%26gt;
