They're in their 30's, just moved in together to a small 1-BR apartment. I could do wine or a plant or something, but would like something more creative. Any ideas?

Find a pretty basket and then pick a theme. One idea is to fill it with things for a sensual bath - oils, candles, a soft wash cloth or two. Or try a kitchen theme - put a small pot with a live parsley plant in the center and fill around it with the most-used bottled spices. Another idea - some good, rare cheeses and a pretty cheese knife. If they have a small deck attached to their apartment, some small garden tools and a pretty plant would be nice. Hope these get your creative juices flowing!

Reply:A nice aloe plant is always good. You can normally pick them up from garden centers.. and they'll be plenty greatful when they have it and need it. They don't need a lot of care.. a little bit of sunshine and just some water every 3 or 4 days... and not much at that.

Reply:Yes, plenty! If they are in their 30's, then it is time ton start adding some spice back into their lives. Get thenm some wierd color and ahaped appliances, like a toaster or microwave. If your more on a budget, try a wierd lamp or centerpiece. A bathroom set is even nice. Not only will your gift stand out, but you will be remebered forever.
