Should I send a thank you card for a thank you gift.?

I volunteer a lot of time in my son's school library. Recently the librarian gave me a thank you card and a plant. Should I give her a thank you card for the plant?

Should I send a thank you card for a thank you gift.?
If she handed the card and plant to you personally, then, no. Otherwise you get into the "after you, no please after you" routine. Great for Laurel %26amp; Hardy ... but really now.

However, if the florest delivered the plant and card, then by all means drop the Librarian a short, casual note letting her know the plant arrived and how delighted you are with her gift.
Reply:No need if you received these personally and thanked her at that time then there is no need for another thank you but, if it makes you feel better, just send her a little note saying that it is really nice to have your help and/or work appreciated, that it enriches your life too and that you will/may volunteer next year. That should also put a smile on her face.
Reply:GOOOD grief!! Stop the madness, call or visit the librarian and thank her for the gift. The note card sh it is so in-personal! Her gift to you was a nice thought, so thank her in person. (Your thanks actually already came, you volunteer!)
Reply:Since this is a thank you gift, I would recommend verbally thanking the librarian for her thoughfulness. I don't think a thank you note is needed for a thank you gift - that seems to be overdoing it.
Reply:Thank her verbally for the lovely plant. Otherwise it will become a thank you for thanking me for thanking you for thanking me thing.
Reply:no simply thank her and let her know you appreciated the plant the next time you see her- don't go over board with kindness
Reply:I think that if you said thank you; that was good enough.
Reply:It then becomes an endless cycle.
Reply:no you don't need to get a thank you as your the one that have something nice for them.
Reply:Just call and thank her or wait till you see her, otherwise this could go on forever.( But youll make Hallmark happy).
